Came to HMB on a spontaneous trip. This was the first coffee place I saw and stopped in. I got a monkey mocha and one of their bread slices. I loved both & the price is pretty standard, $10 for both. Just seems like a chill local spot. Quick service. Two people at the front readily available when I came in. I'd come by again if I was ever in the area.

This is my second time to this cafè and our first stop prior to the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival. Arrive early, opens at 7am, prior to pumpkin festival. I was able to snag a table for our group, there was a long line for ordering but went by fast. Only negative thing was the flies swarming around our table. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte it was okay no hints of pumpkin or spices, but it kept me warm. The pumpkin pancakes were fluffy, moist, and the pecan syrup was delicious. Once again, no hints of pumpkin or spices. My friends ordered the California eggs Benedict and split the dish. It was a huge portion enough for two and they said it was delicious. The servers were friendly and efficient.

We arrived on a Saturday noon. The place was packed. There was a line to give your order, and you can choose to sit inside or outside. The indoor sitting is a bit load but outside has view to the street and neighboring shops which was cool. I don't like places to ask you tip before even handing you the food, but this model seems to get more and more popular. We ordered cappuccino and pumpkin cake. The y both very good. We also ordered two sandwiches. The fries that came with Philly steak was spicy and also non-crunchy. The sandwich itself was very tasty. The southwestern wrap is basically omelette with chorizo and cheese which was tasty and delicious. Overall, it is a pretty good place, and we probably will go there again.

It's a great place, friendly, service is fast. Good for lunch sandwiches, we mostly come for breakfast and a slice of pecan bars. Brownies, cookies, pie all are good. Location: just off Hwy 92 before Hwy 101. Close to beach, great place to walk around the downtown strip, nice to relax here. Will be happy when the roadworks are completed The sound /smell of digging and asphalt are tiresome.

We ordered coffee and desserts. My favorite was the chocolate cloud. The chocolate cheesecake was not at all heavy. The lemon square was yummy. Staff was friendly. Place was organized. They had great looking brunch items!

I was very surprised to see bad reviews for this location. Don't believe everything you read. Cranky tourists aren't always accurate. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our coffees were made within minutes (much quicker than famous chains). The coffee was great! We tried hot, iced and blended and they were all delicious. Our food was fresh, hot and flavorful. The eggs Benedict was really good. Bacon and hash browns were crispy and cooked perfectly. There was plenty of indoor seating but we elected to eat outside in the fresh air and people watch. A great overall visit.

I absolutely love this place. I like to think I'm an eggs Benedict connoisseur and their eggs benny is one of the best I've tried. It's so simply but their hollandaise is perfection. I also love their lattes! The people are very nice and I enjoy coming for breakfast!
